How do I get a job with one of the Overwaitea Food Group grocery stores?
When applying for a job with Overwaitea Food Group, you’re applying to work at one of the largest retail employers in British Columbia. The Overwaitea Food Group is made up of five banners, including ; Save-On-Foods, Urban Fare, PriceSmart Foods, Overwaitea Foods, and Cooper’s Foods. We have stores throughout British Columbia and Alberta and would love to have you join our team!

Go to the website of the banners/brand you want to apply to (which you have already done!) |

Choose the area that best suits you
|
Click on the area (e.g. Vancouver, Edmonton South, etc.) where you would like to work . We will figure out which stores in the area are best for your skills. |
3.
Complete the simple application steps |
-Upload your resume (this will get the system to automatically fill in a lot of the registeration pages-instantly-with the information from your resume)
-Fill in all the important contact details including your availability (we offer flexible hours to accomodate your schedule so be honest!)
-Complete a quick 10 minute online assessment that helps us determine what departments and roles will be best for you!
-Once you are finished you can expect an email confirming your application.

4.
Finding the right role for you
|
-Our recruiters are always receiving details of job openings from the stores. Once they get those details, they will phone or email candidates in that area to see if they are interested in the opportunity.
-If you are interested in the opportunity, the recruiter will talk to you by phone to ensure the opportunity meets your preferences, availability and location.
During this call the recruiter will also ask you more questions about your background to ensure the perfect fit.

5.
Call from the store hiring manager
|
You can expect a call from the store hiring manager within 4 days of speaking to our recruiter, to schedule a face to face interview with you. |
|
You will have an interview in the store with the appropriate hiring manager for the opportunity.
The hiring manager will determine if you are the right fit for the store. |
|
At this time the store may conduct a reference/background check on you. |
|
The hiring manager will make you an offer of employment. |
|
After you sign the offer letter of employment you will be hired and invited to come in and meet the team and complete training. |
